I decided to concentrate on bracelets and rings because, unlike most other forms of adornment, the wearer can see and enjoy them as much or more than everyone else. If I have
a guiding philosophy, it's that I prefer concepts that are asymmetrical in some interesting way, the designs changing from side-to-side and end-to-end. The effect ranges from subtle to dramatic.
I believe this results in pieces that are more interesting and more valuable over time. I think of this aspect of my work as "the
art of asymmetry". Over the years I've learned there is a beauty in symmetry that I have enjoyed exploring as well. |

Green leaves are harvested several times a year and then skeletonize or filigree them, taking them down to the leaf webbing. Each leaf is then electroplated
with 3 coats of copper and processed to color. I don’t use any paints, dyes or tints on them. Our processing is influenced by the weather, the texture of the leaf and how fast I am
at catching the color changes. Each leaf is uniquely different in color and shape. I then turn the leaves into hair accessories, pins, earrings, Christmas ornaments and nitelites. |

The painting of each stone goes through a process. First the vines, then the leaves are applied, after which the floral buds. Details of each leaf, and flower are extremely important. There is a signature butterfly of the first letter of the name, with a ladybug on the last letter! The stones are designed to be as personal as possible.

My life of creativity has evolved in phases but my flagship craft is handmade Christmas ornaments, which I've made for years to the delight of my friends, coworkers, and family.
Over time, I noticed that certain family and friends (whose names I will not mention, Mom) started wearing their ornaments around their necks or asked me to turn them into pins so they could wear them year round.
To make them happy, and to prevent them from walking around town looking like mobile Christmas trees, I evolved my decorations into smaller pieces that they, and my purchasers, could wear with pride and dignity. |
